Expedition

At 21:15 Sourcerer set out by car in fine moon-lit dry weather. The route was via Norwich and Wroxham where the roads became increasingly snowy. A parking place was located about 500 metres from the hashpoint. There was a farm track in extremely poor condition and it was easier to follow the field perimeter where deep unmarked drainage holes had been dug. Fortunately these were well lit by the moonlight and there was no risk of falling in. The surface was covered in snow and the mud was beginning to freeze making the terrain unpredictable for walking.

The hashpoint was in a ploughed field and as usual it was best to follow the tractor tracks. The coast was 800 metres from the hashpoint and the surf was clearly audible due to the stiff breeze and rough sea. There was a significant chill factor but I was wrapped up warm.

Instead of returning home, I followed the coast road to collect 2015-02-02_52_1, aiming to arrive at midnight.
