The Salt Lake Graticule

Salt Lake City's graticule is at latitude 40, longitude -111. It is almost exclusively land, including several national forests. Terrain is the largest obstacle, as the Wasatch Mountains cut right through the center of the graticule.

The graticule contains (from north to south) Kaysville, Salt Lake City, West Jordan, Sandy, Provo and Orem.

  • Taylor (Most Mondays and Fridays. If the geohash is inaccessible then I might do the graticule to the north instead (I live in the Layton area).
  • McKay Hmm. Interesting enough. Official Meetup is Saturday right? I probably wouldn't go north. Besides the mountains, I think it's a good graticule. I might even consider a decent hike some Saturday? Anyone else? (Keeping it going on the discussion page --Tsen 09:07, 22 May 2008 (UTC))
