SEVEN. IN. A. ROW.

That's a streak, ladies and gentlemen: seven birthdays and seven successful birthday geohashes. As usual, I chose a geohash, which seemed to be most likely for success. But contrary to my usual behaviour, I had to work today. Therefore, the possible graticules reduced to Augsburg, Germany graticule.

I wanted to leave the office at 12pm, it became quarter past 1pm, happens regularly. I took the autobahn to Landsberg and another autobahn-like street to Augsburg. From there it was another 15km till Meilingen, where I parked my car at a shopping centre. This was intentionally as I wanted to buy something for another Picnic Geohash.

From the parking lot it was about 2km as the bird flies, but in the end it might have been about 5km: I had to walk along a road to cross a canal and the river Lech. Right after the second bridge, I switched onto a farm road (in surprisingly good conditions) parallel to a dyke.

After a while, I turned away from the dyke to come closer to the geohash. The geohash itself was located on a field, where something was growing (I have no clue what it was, I'm not good at this). I didn't want to destroy any plants, so I was not sure what to do when I saw tracks of a traktor. I followed them, to lead me as close as possible, but surprisingly, the geohash was directly on that tracks (within a 1m radius!). Lucky me.

Of course, I took the usual photographs, and had a small break with some waffles. Afterwards, I walked back to the car and drove home, as my alphorn lessons were waiting.

No cake this year, but I had waffles...close enough.
