Expedition
I took the train to Schnega. It turns out that the Schnega train station is not in the centre Schnega, but in a borough of Schnega named Bahnhof (train station) a few kilometers outside of Schnega. But that was not a problem, since it made the walking distance shorter, so I started walking.
Near the border of Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, an old lady in a car stopped behind me and offered me a ride to Kortenbeck, since it was raining a bit. I thanked her and entered her car. I asked her if this was where the border to Saxony-Anhalt is, and she confirmed. She told me where exactly the fence was thirty years ago, when the Inner German Border still existed. Curiously, there is no sign at all at the border, not even "Welcome to Saxony-Anhalt" or something like that which I would have expected, but the road probably was just too rural. Only a line of trees marks the border. She asked me if I belonged to the new family in Kortenbeck, apparently she knows everyone there except for the family that just moved in. I told her I didn't belong to them, and told her I was doing something similar to a treasure hunt.
From her home in Kortenbeck, which was her destination, it was not far to the Geohash. It was on a field of (I think) barley. There were some tractor tracks in the field where I could walk without harming the plants, and some smaller tracks going out from them, I guess for irrigation pipes. In one of those tracks, I located the coordinates.
After recording proof, I walked back to the train station in Schnega and took a train home.
