Expedition

What means planning an expedition? Looking for the timetable for example. Leaving my bus station at 7:40. Leaving Ihringshausen at 7:53. Leaving Göttingen at 9:04. Arriving at the main railway station of Hannover at 10:23. Taking the light rail No. 1 to the stop „Park der Sinne“, arriving there at 10:55. And a short walk.

Everything went well until... At the station Hannover-Bismarckstraße there was a defect at the overhead wire and all trains to Hannover had to take the outbound track of the suburban trains, and my train arrived 20 minutes later at the main station. Huhu. Then I took the light rail and... there was an accident in the Hildesheimer Straße with a light rail train and a car and I had to change to a Schienenersatzverkehr. I arrived at the stop „Park der Sinne“ at 11:31. Huhu. What had happened to Fippe? Would have he waited for me? And arriving at the hash, there was Fippe and an unknown person.

But at first I recorded proof. Then I looked around. The unknown person invited himself as JoDaEmPa! But then! Fippe presented a medal to me, for being the geohasher with the most expeditions worldwide. Everybody took photos of the sensation. We talked awhile. Then we visited a geocache nearby, but not in line of sight. The edge of the house was one meter in the path. Together we went to the „Park der Sinne“, walked there around and we ate some potato pancakes with apple puree.

Fippe

I took the bike to Laatzen. The coordinates were very accessable, and I located proof. After a while, JoDaEmPa arrived and prepared an OpenCache for the location. GeorgDerReisende arrived too, and I presented a medal to him recognising him now being the Geohasher who has done the most expeditions. We found a nearby Geocache Georg had looked up earlier. Afterwards, we took a walk in the close by Park der Sinne (park of the senses) and got some food.
