Expedition

I was visiting my partner in Houston on this Saturday, and as part of my preparation (of course), I had checked whether the geohash was doable so that I could introduce them to geohashing, as well as score a second drag-along achievement :) (see my first one here!). I was happy to see that we could make the hash.

On the day, we went to the local library to pick up a book they had a hold on, and then headed for the geohash. The weather (which was erratic, raining one mile, and the sun shining the other mile) notwithstanding, it was a smooth ride to the geohash. I recorded a video with one phone, while screen recording the geohashing app on the other. The screen recording failed for an unknown reason, so I am happy I also took screenshots around the time we cruised through the geohash point at 50mph. The GPS updates weren't frequent enough for the GPS inaccuracy circle to hit the exact geohash point in the screenshot, but I trust that the screenshot attached is enough proof considering that we are on the correct lane and we were traveling at 50mph.

Notably, we could not get the Speed racer achievement due to the local traffic conditions at the time (50 out of 60/65 mph). Alas, I got my partner on their first geohashing expedition, and actually really enjoyed it!. My army of geohashing minions doubles (from 1 to 2) week over week (WoW), wow! MUHAHAHAH
