This Geohash is located at a street corner in Laggenbeck.

Participants

Plans

This was supposed to be a short expedition:

  • Walk to Osnabrück-Altstadt
  • Take the train for one station to Ibbenbüren-Laggenbeck
  • Walk the short rest of the distance
  • Walk back to the station
  • Take the train to Osnabrück
  • Walk back home

Each of these steps would take about ten minutes or even less. I'd have a 30-minute window in Laggenbeck, so 10 extra minutes in case the train would be late.

Expedition

Too late

The train to Laggenbeck was 20 minutes late. It left the station at 23:08, but I did not board it.

Had I boarded it, I would not have been able to catch my train back to Osnabrück, which was the last one for this day. Instead, I abandoned the expedition and walked back home from the station.

Why did I not go earlier, e.g. on my way back from Hengelo? I wanted a Tuesday 23:xx expedition to achieve my 24/7 goal, and this seemed like a good candidate. Another time.
