Expedition

I didn't have too much time that day, but still wanted to get this convenient hash, so I downloaded a lecture I had to catch up on my laptop and listened to it on the train ride. In Barmstedt, the train stopped for longer than it should, which worried me, since I didn't have a lot of spare time. It did leave not too long after, however, and I relaxed, until it was announced at Sparieshoop that the train would halt for some time due to some problem with an oncoming train (usually they don't do this and just leave everyone wondering why and how long the train stopped). Fortunately, this was only one stop before I had to get off, so I looked up the cycling times and realised I could also cycle from here to the hash. So I cycled 3.7 km to the hash, the last bit on miniscule field paths that I was surprised Google knew. The hashpoint was located in the corner an empty fenced meadow 12 m from the path and right next to another pasture with horses. I quickly jumped over a ditch and found the coordinates, then immediately took off again and decided it was safer to cycle back to Sparieshoop instead of Langenmoor so I wouldn't take a wrong turn and in case the problem wasn't fixed and my train still there. It wasn't, and I didn't have to wait long for the next one, finishing my lecture and revising another on the ride back.
