I'm heading to the Springfield Quay to meet Daniel after my job interview in the morning. We plan to have lunch and go bowling, then we will drive to this geohash. I'll then drive him to his house and drive myself back home afterwards.

My job interview went well, and I began driving to the Quay. As I was doing so, Daniel was getting the train to Glasgow Central. We met at the Quay at around 12:45pm and headed into Nando's for lunch. Unfortunately, the food was a little cold and the soft drinks were very watery. We've definitely both had better, but it was still edible. We then headed over to the bowling, played two games, and began the drive to the geohash. Daniel didn't know we were going geohashing before we met, but we discussed it over lunch. When he found out that it had been 6 months since his last expedition, he was determined to reach this one.

The drive to Woodhead was pretty simple. Some of the drivers were a little discourteous at times, merging when they shouldn't, cutting people off, but if you're prepared for it, it's manageable. The directions on Google Maps were a little confusing once we actually reached Hamilton, saying to turn left too early and taking me down the wrong roads, but we eventually parked up where we had planned and began our walk. The walk itself was mostly along a path, which was quite muddy in places but was easy to follow. Once we reached the area we needed to leave the path, we realised it was a bit steeper than we had expected it to be.

It turns out that the area the geohash was located in was a series of mini-valleys which we had to cross. We took our time and made it over to the other side. Not quite enough for One with Nature, but still an obstacle. After a little bit more walking, we reached the geohash and took our photos. Daniel wanted to do his usual appearing-multiple-times-in-the-panorama thing, so we tried this. Although he was in three separate locations, you can only really see him at two of them. After we had taken our proof and were satisfied, we began heading back to the car.

The drive to drop Daniel off was also simple, as was my drive back home. Including our time at the Quay, the expedition took about 5 hours. This is my fourth consecutive success, all of which have been in different graticules. Click for 56,-3; 55,-3; or 56,-4.
