This was a spur-of-the-moment outing because there was no hashpoint to pair with 2015-11-02 52 1 spanning midnight.
Expedition
In failing light and thickening fog, I walked 9.28 km to the hashpoint and back. About 1000 metres before the destination there was a foggy view of the Elveden War Memorial. I forgot my phone and my camera battery seems to have gone on the blink so I didn't get a photo. I could have parked in a lay-by on the A11 beside the memorial and avoided 7 km of the walk. It's part of my health campaign to get less fat and lazy and to do longer walks. In any case it was wonderful terrain with pine woods mixed with fields of crops. I saw a muntjac deer and later saw some silvery eyes reflected in my torch light. The hashpoint was in unfenced woodland close to the narrow service road which runs parallel with the A11 major route. The fog got really thick on the return walk and without a moon it got seriously dark.
The Google Earth images show the A11 before the improvements were built. Now it's a dual carriageway with two lanes in each direction and parallel private agricultural service roads on both sides.
