Report

Today's geohash landed right in the middle of a residential street in southern Raleigh, North Carolina. This was just too tempting to pass up and as it was a new graticule for us, its conquest meant more accolades, cash awards, and spiffy ribbons. So, the wifey and I decided to try for the hash in Speed Racer fashion while we drove home after work. Unfortunately, we didn't have one of our three digital cameras (duh!), but the wife had one on her company cell phone. Roaring down the highway at 65mph/105kph, we tested the camera's ability to capture the speedometer, to the alarm of our fellow road warriors I'm sure. But, a word of warning here, do not try this at home, I am a professional idiot.

With the sun setting we eased into the older neighborhood stopping at the hash. Success! So, being of unsound mind, I back up a little and accelerate until we reach the legal speed limit so we can capture the speedometer for sufficient proof/bragging rights. After soaking in the glow of our achievement, we roared off to Wal-Mart to purchase ammunition for my latest acquisition.

We're not sure if this was a virgin graticule or not. We'll claim it until someone says we should surrender the crown...which we will do gladly.
