Location

Today's location is in a wheat field next to Uettingen, not far from Würzburg.

Country: Germany; state: Bayern (Bavaria, EU:DE:BY); administrative region: Unterfranken; district: Würzburg rural district

Weather (00:00): nice stars

Expedition

thepiguy, srs0, Danatar

The hashpoint is at a distance from Würzburg that usually would be perfect for a bike expedition. One problem is that cycle tracks between Würzburg and Uettingen are rare and only available with many detours. Danatar sometimes cycles along Bundes- / Landstraßen (literally: federal / state highway) if there are not many cars and if there is no other possiblity, but both the B8 and the St2298 have very heavy traffic (and reckless drivers) at all times of day and it would be much too dangerous by bike. The other problem was that Danatar knew for certain that he wouldn't be able to do anything the whole day. So the only possibility was a midnight expedition by car.

Danatar picked up thepiguy and srs0 at 23:30, then they drove to the hashpoint. They left the car at the last intersection and walked along the field until the GPS arrow pointed right in to the field. They refrained from trampling the wheat and declared the track next to the field to be "near enough". The last minutes until midnight they passed by taking pictures of the stars.

After midnight they returned to the car and drove to Roßbrunn where they had earlier seen a speed display device, there to remind cars to keep to the speed limit. It alternately shows the current speed and :-( if the car is going too fast or :-) if the speed is okay. Because thepiguy doesn't exercise enough he only managed to reach :-) on foot.

I could kill you right now and nobody would blame me!

Actually... it think it may be even worse in context! Sorry Danatar :D
