This Geohash is a little more than 4 miles from my office. I programmed my eTrex and headed off at lunch time. It was a short drive to the house that the Geohash was on. I walked up and knocked on the door. Even though there was a car in the driveway, nobody answered.

I walked around to the side of the house to see if someone in the back yard. I shouted "Hello" into the back yard and a somewhat friendly dog walked up. I petted the dog a time or two and then he just sat there. I took a few pictures and then was thinking that I would take a "No Trespassing" geohash.

I drove back to my office.

At the end of work, I thought I would drive back to see if someone had come home. It is only 4 miles from my office and the way that I was going, there was almost no traffic.

I found the house again and this time there were 3 cars in the driveway. I hopped out and knocked on the front door. A very nice woman about 10 years older than me answered the door. I introduced myself, explained briefly about XKCD and Geohashing. I then showed her the Google map that I had printed out. She said that it was okay with her but I would have to ask her husband who was in the back yard.

I walked back to the side of the house and shouted "Hello!". A very nice gentleman came to the fence, I re-introduced myself and gave almost the same spiel of Geohashing and point to the tree that I though the spot was at.

He said that it was okay with him and he went to go put the dog on the leash. I walked over to the spot and took a few pictures. I thanked the man and went on my way back to my truck.

I then drove home to Norcross.
