Plans

Mampfred told me about the coincidence of today's and tomorrow's geohash coordinates being only 8km apart on Friday. So he planned to do a double hash, the latter on midnight. Yakamoz and me tried the same in our current graticule.

Expedition

Being glad to have rubber floor mats in the car, we entered the car upon returning from 2011-08-27_51_11 and drove on to August, 28th's coordinates.

This time, there was a usable field path near the hash coordinates where I could park off the main road. We crossed the main road, almost fell into a gurgling ditch and walked onto the harvested field. Looking at the watch and having two hundred meters, we decided to run a bit. Since the trusty Maglite was rather low on battery, this was a rather blind thing to do, but nobody got hurt and we were in the hash point's close vicinity at midnight, even though I needed another one or two minutes to get a "0m to coordinates"-shot, at last- it kept on saying "4m" for quite a lot of four metres. Did another torch lit hash grin photo and headed back to the car and home, at last. Double hash midnight success! :-) We certainly enjoyed the adventure, especially jogging over the soggy field through the dark and me not being able to handle the new photonic weapon... :)

When we arrived at the car, we sent a SMS to Mampfred and got a call immediately- they also were successful, four-and-a-half hashers doing the double hash night in 50,8. Look out for their report. :) And I am very proud to report this at all, and before Mampfred, even... So, not a ninja-double.
