Plans

Oh boy, here we go again. I had already planned an expedition to Samone, but the weather and a bunch of other variables made me abandon my plans. So when I saw I had a chance to visit this small village again, I really really felt like doing it. But once again, there are some downsides which are hard to overlook (aand they are all the same as the other time)

  • Weather: it's currently raining outside. It's supposed to be nicer tomorrow, but all the forecasts specify tomorrow afternoon's situation is quite unpredictable.
  • Food: As I specified on my January report, if I leave straight after school, I'll have no time to fill up anywhere on my trip. And I tend to not work correctly when hungry.
  • No mapping: I have no clue where the hash lies. Google Maps resolution is too low. The last time I tried something like this, earlier this year, it fell inside a house... and OSM suggests it's a No Trespassing geohash this time as well.
  • Time: I can't get over the fact that, on my way back to Trento, I have to wait 40 minutes in Borgo for the bus home... even though I'm not in a rush as there's no school on Sunday. If i brought a friend with me this would be a lot easier, but I don't know anyone who seems interested in trying geohashing.

This said, I really feel like geohashing, and even though I'll go on Sunday as well (closer to home and a lot easier), I might as well give it a shot. Also I had spent hours planning that other expedition, so I sort of see this like a call. Last but not least, it's Elegant Day at my school tomorrow, so I might attempt a formal attire geohash!

Expedition

In the end I decided not to go. 5 hours and a half were quite a lot- I wish this had popped up on a holiday, as I could have afforded a shorter expedition today but had to be in town for the afternoon. I'm going for the hash tomorrow in Pergine though!
