On Monday nights I go to the pub. It was 11:12pm and I pulled out my phone, in an attempt to send a text message I fumbled and opened the geohash app. at 48 minutes to midnight i had no intention of geohashing until i noticed it was only 10km away and easily accessible. Without hesisitation i skolled my beer, said farewell to my friends, donned my high vis jacket and got on my bike. I knew the route well it being not far from my house and having once bought a bed in next street from the hash location. I rode my fasted as I knew there was not much time to spare and I had a very strong headwind to slow me down. As I crossed Moreland road it started to rain, not heavily, just a pleasant spatter, enough to keep me cool. I found my way to the hash at 11:49pm. I had apparently pushed myself to hard reaching it with 11 minutes to spare.

After a quick happy snap I was back on my bike. The hard ride into a head wind on the way there was worth it, my ride home down Sydney road was ridiculously easy. The storm had picked up a lot so I had a hug tail wind. The only thing slowing me down were the fallen tree branched, milk crates and assorted debris all over the road. After stopping for a kebab i tried to head straight home but there was a tree down blocking Sydney road so i found a detour.

On Monday nights I go to the pub. It was 11:12pm and I pulled out my phone, in an attempt to send a text message I fumbled and opened the geohash app. At 48 minutes to midnight I had no intention of geohashing until I noticed it was only 10km away and easily accessible. Without hesitation I skolled my beer, said farewell to my friends, donned my high vis jacket and got on my bike. I knew the route well it being not far from my house and having once bought a bed in next street from the hash location. I rode my fastest as I knew there was not much time to spare and I had a very strong headwind to slow me down. As I crossed Moreland road it started to rain, not heavily, just a pleasant spatter, enough to keep me cool. I found my way to the hash at 11:49pm. I had apparently pushed myself too hard reaching it with 11 minutes to spare.
