Plans

I'm hoping to be here around 2pm, unless other hashers are going to be here at a different time! -- Rex Wolf (talk) 11:28, 24 January 2014 (EST)

Looks like Thomcat is planning to be here at 4pm, I'll probably shift my timing to match. -- Rex Wolf (talk) 13:26, 24 January 2014 (EST)
2 or 4 is fine by me... I'll assume 4 at this point! -- OtherJack (talk) 13:44, 24 January 2014 (EST)
It *is* a Saturday meetup, and I am starting the day helping a friend (in Puyallup) move. 4:00 is achievable for me. --Thomcat (talk) 16:48, 24 January 2014 (EST)
OK, let's definitely say 4 then. -- OtherJack (talk) 16:52, 24 January 2014 (EST)
4pm it is. I just wasn't sure, since some other Pacific NW graticules (Portland, for example) decided to set their Saturday meeting times as 2pm during the winter months... -- Rex Wolf (talk) 17:02, 24 January 2014 (EST)
This is only 3 miles from home, so I can be there at 4. --Stand (talk) 13:37, 25 January 2014 (EST)
Sweet! -- OtherJack (talk) 14:35, 25 January 2014 (EST)

Expedition

Thomcat

Helped a friend move considerably south of here - would have been shorter to go to the Mount Saint Helens geohash. Finished up and jumped in the car:

I arrived to find four outstanding in their field. Er, the Pinehurst field. I met Rex Wolf and Stand for the first time, and we discussed past geohashes, achievements, and pot belly pigs.

Rex

Got to the hashpoint early, just to make sure I could actually reach it correctly. I had surveyed the location with Google Street View, but I was a bit uncertain whether the path I identified would be accessible or not. Fortunately, the gate was unlatched, which made access very simple.

Very pleased to have met Stand, OtherJack, and Thomcat! Finally, I've met some other geohashers--and at a Saturday meetup, no less! And excellent conversation, too!

(Photos will be uploaded soon, when I get back home.)
