Remove this section if you don't want an image at the top (left) of your report.  You should remove the "Image:" or "File:"

tag from your image file name, and replace the all upper-case word IMAGE in the above line.

And DON'T FORGET to add your expedition and the best photo you took to the gallery on the Main Page! We'd love to read your report, but that means we first have to discover it! :)

Expedition

My parent's were in town visiting for my birthday, and low and behold, the hashpoint 1 graticule southeast was located quite near a place where my dad and I have often gone fishing. The spot is also rather near the town where my dad grew up. The hashpoint was easy to reach, as there is a good gravel road which passes within 100M of it. After reaching the hashpoint, we stopped in a couple of the small towns nearby and my dad reminisced about his youth which was spent there, showed me the places he remembered from when he was a kid, etc. One bit I quite enjoyed was when he showed me the wall of the old highschool, where seniors used to write their names. We managed to find the names of nearly all my aunts and uncles on his side of the family. Who knew that pencil marks on brick would endure so well for 60+ years outdoors and unprotected?
