After we failed two expeditions because buildings weren't open, this hash lay in the middle of a Real, a huge supermarket. We took the train to Eidelstedt, from where Leidenfrost took the bus and I cycled a little over 3 km to the hash, getting delayed several times by construction sites. Inside, we tried to look casual and find the right spot, which was difficult because GPS seemed to not work at all. Our location jumped all over the place; in the end we had found three different spots where it seemed to fit the hash coordinates. We took photos each time, and I spent at least ten minutes in the sweets aisle (the most promising spot) trying to take a screenshot of the correct position on my phone (it seems to hate screenshots). Unfortunately, we couldn't find Slushies (though we didn't search extensively), otherwise we could have claimed the most epic [[GeoSquishy]] achievement. So we took the same route home, my bike beating Leidenfrost's bus to the train station. It will likely be a long time until a geohash falls within a public building in my reachable vicinity. What an expedition!

[[User:π π π|π π π]] can provide photos of the geohashers at the hashpoint and screenshots of the coordinates.

Unfortunately, we couldn't find Slushies (though we didn't search extensively), otherwise we could have claimed the most epic GeoSquishy achievement. So we took the same route home, my bike beating Leidenfrost's bus to the train station. It will likely be a long time until a geohash falls within a public building in my reachable vicinity. What an expedition!

Achievements

  • Land geohash, Bicycle geohash, Public transport geohash
  • own proposal: Gratuitous Ribbon for geohashing inside a building (why doesn't this already exist‽)

Note

I really think there should be a category (and an achievement) for expeditions inside buildings. I would love to read about other adventures like our own.
