It turned out even more smoothly than last time: I got the 1-euro tickets beforehand, and even though the train was about 15 minutes late, I still had around 1 hour to make the trip before taking the train back. The route was very straightforward: in 10 minutes I arrived at the spot. And the weather, as it turns out, was perfect, cool air and bright, sunny day, with some cloud in the sky to attenuate the sunlight. Since there was still sufficient time left, I decided to take another route to continue on to the train station of Grisolles, one station south and about 6 km away, across the cereal fields and orchards (Plums? Apricots? I'm not sure.)

The village of Grisolles has a surprisingly elegant and beautiful church - it's shame that some work and parts of the architecture inside is not as well maintained as it could be, but all in all it was still quite impressive. Location

On the roadside in Verdun-sur-Garonne, Tarn-et-Garonne, near Dieupentale, Tarn-et-Garonne.

Plans

The day before, when I checked the geohash point for today, I couldn't quite believe it: it was less than 4 km to my first successful geohash, also on an accessible roadside, and even closer to the train station than last time! It was too good a chance to pass up, even though the weather forecast wasn't. However, the train this morning didn't have the discount price, so I decided to go at noon instead. I prepared raincoats in case of rain; since the departure is around noon, I would be able to leave most of my personal belongings at work.

Expedition

It turned out even more smoothly than last time: I got the 1-euro tickets beforehand, and even though the train was about 15 minutes late, I still had around 1 hour to make the trip before taking the train back. The route was very straightforward: in 10 minutes I arrived at the hashpoint. And the weather, as it turns out, was perfect: cool air and bright, sunny day, with some cloud in the sky to attenuate the sunlight.

The marché couvert ("covered market"), on the other hand, was under renovation: a big renovation, because they've taken out everything except for the steel scaffolding!

In retrospect (ha ha), I could have gone for a retro expedition to my first hashpoint as well, but anyway.
