The original report (written in the two weeks after the expedition, I think it was during the following weekend) was lost during the Dark Ages, it seems the last backup of the site had been between 2019-08-23 and the time I wrote the report. See also 2019-08-25 48 9. As far as I remember the expedition was like this:

I was in Stuttgart over the weekend for an orchestra rehearsal. To my surprise I was able to fit this expedition into my schedule after all. I took the bus to the Untertürkheim train station, then I had to wait rather long for the S-Bahn train because the earlier train was canceled (there was something special going on, in addition to the Wasen festival, but I don't remember what). The train that finally came brought me to Esslingen-Zell. I knew that if I made it to the spot and back to the train station within 20 minutes I would be able to catch the next train back instead of waiting rather long, so I quickly walked along the road towards the spot. It was easy to find and after taking pictures I quickly walked back. But it took me 22 minutes so I saw the train pass me by while I was still too far away from the station. Again I had to wait a long time for the next train. That one brought me to Untertürkheim and I took the bus back to the hotel before going to the rehearsal.
