Expedition

I hadn't done any hashes with public transport since February because of the pandemic, but the situation had calmed down a little and I felt ready to do that again. This hash lay only a kilometre from the A1 station Bönningstedt, so I decided to leave my bike at my home station and walk there. It was my first time wearing a mask in the train, but I managed to keep the required 1.5 m distance to others at all times. The hashpoint was located at an interesting location 1.5 m inside a huge hedge next to an indoor amusement park (which was closed, of course, as was the adjacent bar). I walked through residential streets, listening to a podcast, and easily found the spot at the edge of a parking space when I got there.

I had hoped I might be able to get 1.5 m into the hedge, but it was so dense and thorny that I had no chance. I took photos and reached as far into it as I could, which was about a metre. I got some scratches from a Velociraptor I encountered and even bled a little, but fortunately it didn't hurt me badly. Also, I heard some rumbles from the bar 20 m away (though I didn't see anyone in the vicinity the whole time) and wanted to catch the next train, so I hurried back and had to jog for a few minutes, but made it in time. 30 minutes later, I arrived home.
