Easy trip across the bridge. Factoria, where I used to work, has changed quite a bit. 3711 128th Ave SE used to be a 7-11, up until at least May of 2019 (according to google streetview). It is now down for reconfiguration - and I didn't remember the exact address when driving by. Would have been less than a mile from the geohash?

So on to the geohash point. Easily found down a dead-end street I hadn't driven or walked down before - being a dead end after all. At the very end of the street was a pedestrian pass-through to a Mormon church. It also turns out this street is just one street north of Newport High School, where I have worked as a baseball umpire and will work again later this week. Small world and all of that.

Participants

Plans

Visit after day job but before late afternoon and evening baseball games. Find out if the geosquishy vendor is still there, and refresh myself on the badge particulars.

Expedition

The hashpoint was quite close to a sidewalk, though overhanging trees were playing havoc with my GPS accuracy. I feel certain I was on the spot indicated on google maps, and managed to get less than a meter on the geohashdroid. Success!

I then retreated to Mercer Island for a baseball game, and forgot to check in from there (alas).
