Plans

Take the train to Vic and walk there. Hike should be shorted than my previous expedition to have some time to visit the city centre of Vic after.

Expedition

Took the train to Vic as scheduled and started my hike. The first half was following the Mèder river which is also part of the Way of St James. It was very quite and full of different birds chirping all around. And with some nice shade.

Before arriving to Santa Eulàlia I deviated to visit the ruins of a church. And found a spot to have some lunch. Then I made the approach to the hash. It was on the edge of a field and could be located easily. Took proof and continued my path.

Then I discovered a quite unique spot called Les Costes Males which are an area with badlands that make some curious landscapes. After that I went into the forest to a very hidden place. Actually to what is called the "Shelter of the priest" which is what it means. A shelter made by the priest Mossèn Alfons Bonvehí to hide during the Spanish civil war. It's really hidden in the forest and very well build. A very interesting piece of history to discover.

After that it was time to return to Vic. So I left the forest to enter again into the famous Plain of Vic: so walking through fields and no more shade to protect me from the sun. It was not as painful and the occasional cloud helped.

Once in Vic I visited the city centre. Vic is the capital of the county and has some unique buildings worth visiting. Then I went to what Vic is know for, its town square, and sat on some bar to order myself some deserved prize. I rested until it was time to grab the train back home.

Is it true that SastRe.O earned the Regional geohashing achievement for the county Osona?
In principle, yes.
But not really, since Osona has two ridiculous small areas in both 41,1 and 42,1 which makes it, let's say, statistically very improbable... (2023-04-08 41 2).
