Expedition

In the morning, I cycled to Osnabrück Central, took the train via Münster to Altenberge and cycled the rest of the distance through the morning fog.

The coordinates were on a football field. When I initially looked at a map, I thought this was just a regular meadow, but looking at satellite photography, I saw two light shapes that looked like they might be goals. And they really did turn out to be goals. Nobody was playing at the moment, and I had no trouble locating the coordinates on the wet grass.

The district of Steinfurt is unevenly split among three graticules.

Today's coordinates are special because of how far north they are within their graticule. For this particular expedition, this means that it is the first non-52,7 expedition to the district of Steinfurt. The district is split among three graticules, the vast majority of its territory in 52,7 and tiny slivers in 51,7 and 52,8. Now I just need to get lucky coordinates in my home graticule to complete this regional geohashing achievement.

After recording proof, I cycled to Münster, took the train to Osnabrück Central and cycled back home.
