* [[2008-06-01 55 12]] - Unfortunately, [[2008-05-31 55 12]] is in the middle of the Øresund east of Copenhagen. The meetup is therefore postponed to [[2008-06-01 55 12]] kl. 16 on the banks of the Usserød Å near Hørsholm Midtpunkt. This is actually right down the road from where I live, which means... I'll bring the chips!

* [[2008-06-07 55 12]] - [[SolidHydrogen]] is going to attempt the journey. S-tog to Ølby and bus 210 out to the site.

*Well, looks like I did report an erroneous location. I see the map tool has been updated to give different coordinates than referenced before. I didn't go to Møn today (although in theory I could have, rejseplanen gave me a travel time of 8:11!), and tomorrow is over water again... so I still plan on going to Usserød Å just south of Mortenstrupvej tomorrow for fun, since its so close to where I live. Will be there at 16.

About

The Copenhagen graticule is at latitude 55, longitude 12. It completely encloses Copenhagen (and almost all of Copenhagen Capital Region), a bit of Malmö and Sweden and about a third of Zealand in general. The graticule is about 60% water, making reachable geohashes a little sparser than normal.

Notable Dates

  • 2008-05-25 55 12 - First ever Copenhagen graticule point reached by SolidHydrogen on a country lane near Meløse. It was a fantastic adventure, but a lonely affair.
