The Newport News, Virginia [[graticule]] is at [http://irc.peeron.com/xkcd/map/map.html?lat=37&long=-76&zoom=8&abs=1 latitude 37, longitude -76]. It includes all of the good parts of Hampton Roads: Newport News and Hampton (and not Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and that sort of thing). It also features the historic triangle of Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown, where the British settlements that eventually became the United States were first started. Much of this area is the beautiful Chesapeake Bay; it contains a sliver of Virginia's eastern shore and a section of Maryland's bay, including part of Smith Island.
