It seems like a crazy decision to try to walk the last 700 meters to the hash but it's also a kinda crazy decision to head out half an hour after midnight to try to reach a coordinate in the middle of a forest and then walk by foot for about six hours just to reach "nothing". (...)It was completely wet in the forest, small lakes and swamps had been temporarily created by the melting snow but this time it wouldn't stop me. My shoes got wet after just a few minutes and turned wetter since I had walked in deeper and deeper swamps. (...)I finally reached the geohash and it felt great.

Il Geohashing è un metodo per trovare luoghi completamente casuali e visitarli: è un "generatore automatico di avventure". Ogni giorno l'algoritmo genera un nuovo set di cordinate per ogni zona 1° x1° di latitudine/longitudine (chiamata graticola) nel mondo. Le coordinate potrebbero essere ovunque -- in una foresta, in città, in una montagna, o addirittura nel mezzo di un lago. Chiunque nelle stessa graticola otterrà le stesse cordinate. Queste coordinate possono essere usate come destinazione per nuove avventure o come punti d'incontro. Dopo l'esplorazione, per favore, documentate la vostra spedizione! Tutti noi siamo ansiosi di leggere la vostra storia, vedere le vostre foto o festeggiare le vostre conquiste (o commiserare i vostri fallimenti). Potete usare questo wiki per documentare giornalmente le coordinate che avete provato o siete riusciti a raggiungere.
