March 23-25, 2012

Friday's is out in a field somewhere that may-or-may-not-be thwarted by clear and obvious No Trespassing signs. We could probably gain easy access to Friday's in the daylight, but I'm not sure I'd risk getting shot at at night...which is a shame, because I'm sure there would be somewhere nice to camp around here too. It's about 250m from a road, right past obvious houses, but approaching from the northwest could work I guess (if you're a ninja).

Saturday's looks like it's along a not-quite-private road, which may or may not be in someone's back yard; Bing Maps has more hopeful roads than Google Maps, and it looks like they go around it rather helpfully. Google's map view shows a big, unoccupied looking land plat. This is reachable. It's also about 3km from Friday's.

Sunday's is a bit west of Bremerton, and looks like it has alligators, about 30m off "shore" if you could call it that. A small kayak should suffice.

I could go Saturday but wouldn't be able to leave Seattle til after 3. Today I'm working and Sunday I'm doing something else most of the day (and don't have a kayak or anything of the sort...) - OtherJack 14:07, 23 March 2012 (EDT)

Likewise on the busy-ness here. Friday = can't leave 'til 8:30PM, Saturday = need to be in Bellevue 9:30-11:00 so no camping (unless it's a super early morning), Sunday = need to be in Lynnwood at 3:00 onward. I'm up for Saturday if we're real excited about going, but it might be worth it to hold off for a later event on our side of the water.

Then again, if a west-side hasher wants to show up, I'm all for heading over there. --Traveller 14:27, 23 March 2012 (EDT)

I'm also kind of on the fence... don't really feel like driving there and i'd be leaving way too late for biking to be fun. If you drive there I might hitch a ride. I don't think there are any kitsap or olympic area hashers though unfortunately... - OtherJack 14:46, 23 March 2012 (EDT)

Sure, why not - I'm going to be in downtown Seattle tomorrow afternoon anyway so we could just say 4pm somewhere near there. I'm not big on cheesecake but pie is great. (Not that you're required to bring it... I won't be able to bring anything that awesome.) OtherJack 15:30, 23 March 2012 (EDT)

Snow conditions and time permitting I'm going to try the hash over in the Snoqualmie graticule just east of us, on Tiger Mountain. See here for more info. If I actually attempt to do this I'll probably make it up there around 4:30 or 5 pm. --OtherJack
