About Me

Hi everyone, my name's Connor, and I live in Memphis. I just recently started Geohashing and haven't reached any hash points yet. But it looks like a lot of fun, and I'm pretty stoked to keep trying!

Memphis is right in the bottom corner of two graticules: 35N 89W and 35N 90W, so I'm very close to four graticules total, which is convenient. All of those graticules are currently virgin and relatively inactive, because not many people in this area are into outdoorsing. I'm sure there's a few though, so please contact me if you want to go exploring and whatnot! The other users listed on the Memphis page don't seem to be active...

Unfortunately, most of the land here is farmland owned by what I (probably incorrectly) assume are crotchety southern farmers with little patience for tresspassers, so I'm pretty sure most of my attempts will end up with the "No Trespassing" Consolation Prize. Well at least that will earn me an achievement.

Anyway, yeah. Fun stuff.

Geohashing

So far I've reached 1 hash point out of 2 attempts in 2 graticules.

2012-03-03 35 -89 Private Property geohash, on the edge of some farmland out in Millington

2012-03-09 34 -89 My first successful geohash!! About a third of a mile off of a country road in Byhalia, Mississippi.
