I'm a landlubber so I am glad that the Aberdeen and Elgin graticules are not as watery as they could be (like Peterhead).

Getting to water geohashes became possible in 2010, using Portknockie harbour as the launch point.

After geohashing twice at the end of 2008, life has been busy. But the date of 11 September 2011 seemed a good day to geohash again, as it was damianc's birthday.

-Elgin UK is not the most challenging graticule in the whole of Scotland, only half of it being the water. Getting around to the north-eastern tip of somewhere on the western fringe will test my dedication. Inverness and Aberdeen graticules are also in reach so I'll be there too -- hope this isn't seen to be rude.
