Biographical
Hi, my name is Rich and I live in the North Jersey graticule and most recently worked as a project manager for Hewlett-Packard. I recently stumbled across xkcd, which led inevitably to geohashing.
Expeditions
None, yet...
Achievements I'm shooting for
- Easy Geohash
- Pub Geohash
- Curse of Unawareness...see below
- Origin Geohash
- Retro coordinates reached <-duh, can't figure out correct format to un-red this
And whatever else I come across. So many categories, so little time.
Grabbed User:Wenslayer/KMLGenerator script to attempt generation of a Google Earth location history file for the North Jersey graticule.
Installed Active Perl on my Win 7 64-bit box from here:
Downloaded the current W30 history file allcoords.csv. The perl script took less that 1 sec. to create all geohashes from 1928 to date!
