I am a 18 years old guy living in the small city of Trento, northern Italy. I pride myself in being the most active Italian geohasher, but that's not a great accomplishment- I don't have any regular competition.

I got to know geohashing on the 12th of August, 2012, and it was instant love. Trentino is not the easiest place to get around- it's all mountains around here, and some places can be quite hard to reach. On the other hand, though, Trento is on the bottom left corner of a graticule- this means I have three other graticules nearby should the location in mine be unreachable. I mostly hash via public transport, as I don't have a driver's license yet.

At the end of 2012 I released a report on all the expeditions I did during the year, which you can read here. Thanks for visiting my userpage, and feel free to leave a message for anything- even if you just want to chat.

Successful expeditions

2012-08-13: In a meadow in Viote, Mt.Bondone, Trento.

2012-08-24: Outside a house in Laste, eastern Trento.

2012-08-26: In a porphiry quarry over Gazzadina, Trento.

2012-09-02: On a country road north of Dro. Part of Trentino, but in Verona graticule!

2012-09-20: In Albaredo, east of Rovereto. Deflowered Padova graticule!

2012-12-29: Back to geohashing after three months, in a apple field north of Banco, a small mountain village.

2013-02-17: In the small village of Cornalè, west of Rovereto.

Not-as-successful expeditions

2012-08-27: In a parking lot in Egna/Neumarkt. Had the wrong coordinates and thought it was inside a fenced garden.

2013-01-02: Inside a house in Cinte Tesino.

Planned but not attempted expeditions (hopefully future retros)

2012-12-14: Snowstorm struck in the morning causing transport delays, my timetable wouldn't allow me to go on an adventure.

2012-01-21: Bad weather, had a cold, and it was too difficult (also implied lots of time)

Werther achieved level 2 of the Minesweeper Geohash achievement
by visiting coordinates in Trento, Italy and 2 of the surrounding graticules.
  • Side note/shameless bragging: I could have claimed both land geohash and Public Transport geohash on my first expedition, but I lacked proof for those two.

Hidden goals

These are my ultimate achievements- they will take something like five years to accomplish but well, I like challenges.

1) Hashing once in every of the 217 Trentino municipalities (so far: 4)

2) Using at least once every Trentino city/intercity bus line, which are quite a lot (I don't know the exact number!) (so far: 2x Trento city network, 7x intercity network, FTM railway included)

3) Using at least once every Trentino Trasporti bus (according to their website, there are 714 of them, just sayin': 16 so far, train included)
