It's all straightforward once you've figured out what to do.  Photos and GPS tracks are not totally necessary to report a successful expedition, but they're nice to have and other wiki users like looking at them.  Give me or any other user a shout if you need a hand with anything.  -- [[User:Benjw|Benjw]] 20:41, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Revision as of 21:18, 7 August 2010

Today

I visited the co-ordinates of the day in the Cambridge UK graticule. No one else was there. Next time, I'll pre-advertise my intention to make an expedition.

Please do pre-advertise! If you'd indicated an intention to go, I'd have come and met you there. As it was, I thought it was a little far from me (Cambridge), but I'd certainly have been interested to meet new hashers. If you edit the Cambridge page or my talk page, I'll see what plans I've got for the day. Tomorrow's and Monday's points are quite close to today's -- I don't know how accessible they might be. Do you? Anyway, welcome to geohashing.  :-) -- Benjw 20:30, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. I'll get the hang of this eventually. For example I have photos and GPS track evidence but I have not read the instructions for those tasks yet.

My home graticule is Norwich so visits to the Cambridge area are a bit far for me unless I'm already heading that way for another reason. Sadly my local Sunday hash is in the sea again.
