Planning the Perfect Crime Geohash

I'll be travelling down the Parkway Saturday, so I'll get a Easy Geohash, Virgin Graticule and Speed Racer Achievement. Unfortunately, the geohash is in the creek, a quarter mile from the road, so I have to choose between Speed Racer, and a good clear shot of the Patcong Creek sign on the Parkway bridge. I'm choosing to get Speed Racer, since I don't have a boat anyway, so I'll take a picture of the speedometer and the Exit 30 sign. I will also attempt a picture of the Patcong Creek sign, but I don't expect it to be legible.

Execution

Once we were in the area, we decided that we were better off getting good photographs of the location than aiming for a Speed Racer, especially since the actual point was not on the road. So Plan B (tm) was to stop in the Patcong Creek bridge, take some pictures, the continue on our vacation. Unfortunately, there was no shoulder on the bridge. By the time I realized this, I was screeching to a halt a foot away from the guardrail, with a number of other drivers wondering why the heck I was stopping on the highway.

We took pictures of the spot, and picked up a token of our visit (as we did last time), when some folks on jetskis passed by on the creek. They scooted around the geohash, while we watched from the side of the road.

Lacking a boat, or enough time to MacGyver something together, we settled for pictures of the jetskiers and continued on our vacation.
