In a well maintained and unfenced market garden 500 metres north of Emba and 4 km north of Paphos, Cyprus.

Neil spent Christmas and the new year in Cyprus going walking in a partially successful attempt to undo some of the effects of a lazy summer and autumn. There was no convenient or affordable internet access so these coordinates were obtained in England before flying out. The walk was through urban Paphos and then through suburban villages. The weather was pleasant and sunny with the temperature OK for shorts and tee shirt. This was a most pleasant change from the winter gales and rain in England. The lack of fencing round the market garden and orchards so near a sizeable town speaks volumes for the quality of life there. Although Cyprus and Greece are having a very hard time economically, there is still a level of trust in the community.
