Plans

The geohash gods were smiling sweetly on me today! I am flying up to Wellington today for another 24 hour trip in the capital. And behold - a

geohash was not only eminently accessible - it was also a few hundred metres from the location of the very meeting I was to have that day. This is

exactly the situation that I had been in exactly one month earlier! (See 2015-09-22 -41 174). Perhaps it was the spirt of my

dearly departed mother who has died between these two dates. Or, just a cosmic coincidence.

Expedition

After picking the rental car up from Wellington airport we headed out to the hash. It turned out to be in the middle of the south-heading lane in

Randwick Road. Excellent. A speed racer achievement will be the order of the day too.

Now given that while it was about 7pm local time on 22 October 2015, it was 11pm on the 21 October 2015 in Hill Valley, California (Pacific

Daylight Time) - ie it was still Back to the Future Day in Hill Valley! We thought that perhaps we should be driving at 88 miles per hour and

perhaps even get hit by lightning in order to obtain the necessary 1.21 gigawatts. But instead, we did decided to stick to the speed limit.

However, I think there should be worthy of some award along the lines of hashing while it's Back to the Future Day in Hill Valley...
