After my delay at expedition one, I arrived 23 minutes behind schedule. There was a place to park in the field entrance. The footpath signpost was ambiguous. I chose the right hand path through someone's garden. There was a way out across a bridge made from two railway sleepers. A grassy path led to a dead end. I should have turned right and then left to follow the official path but I'd forgotten this detail and there was no signpost. So I turned left and found a place to cross the drainage ditch which was not too deep and one dry pace wide. Tractor tracks led to the hashpoint in a field of winter wheat. I returned on the other potential path which was easier and did not involve the private garden.
