Plans

Likely to stop by on the way to work Monday morning; may be available for a meetup after work also.

I can probably stop by any time during Monday. Boomzilla (talk) 17:44, 15 January 2016 (EST)
I've got the whole day off, will probably make the expedition in the early afternoon and catch some sun around 1-2pmish. benkaiser (talk) 16:28, 17 January 2016 (EST)
Okay, I'll probably try to stop by in the afternoon, as well. Boomzilla (talk) 07:39, 18 January 2016 (EST)
Sometime after 1 is good for me - heading home early to be with kids who are not in school today. --Thomcat (talk) 11:56, 18 January 2016 (EST)
Cool. I'll probably arrive around 1:30PM, specifically. I might hang around the area for an hour or two (maybe visit the beach). Boomzilla (talk) 15:09, 18 January 2016 (EST)

Expedition

Morning

Stopped by (more or less) on the way to work. Have worked many baseball games at nearby Meadowdale High School, and a few at Meadowdale Middle School (though at first glance there seems to be a building where the baseball field originally was).

The parking lot is marked reserved for our intrepid crew of afternoon hashers. Interesting park, with stones erected in dirt, a pond, and playground equipment. More on that in the later post, no doubt.

Hash point achieved, I headed off to a short day at work.

Afternoon

Thomcat arrived at 1:45, saw Boomzilla striding across the parking lot. We visited various portions of the park, waiting in vain to see if benkaiser would arrive. Alas, he did not. Statues spotted - several. Wildlife - two ducks. Domestic critters included several dogs and two lovebirds on the bench.

Benjamin and Hayden rocked up at ~2:45 (slept in later than I first thought, sorry Thomcat!) to be met by Boomzilla. On the way we grabbed a slurpee at the 7-Eleven ~2.1km away (making it a 3-star geosquishy achievement). Because the hash fell in the parking lot, I decided to attempt the speed racer achievement by going 15 miles/hour over the hashpoint.

I look forward to comparing the Nexus 6 and Nexus 6p at a future geohash. --Thomcat (talk) 22:49, 18 January 2016 (EST)
