Expedition
After a very wet expedition before midnight, this one was slightly delayed. The weather was improving and later the waning moon came out. This was the last useful moon until July. There was a strong sense of déjà vu, having walked this route just over a year ago. The route was identical until the last 150 metres. The footpath led in the right direction and a field perimeter path finished the job. There were tiny seedlings in the field, probably peas which grow very fast. The drive home was misty, both outside and in the car with steaming wet legs drying in the aircon.
A note for the historians. My TV is playing the "Brexit" referendum result. It's too soon to be sure of the result but it looks as though we might have voted to leave the European Union. I voted to stay in, but my choice was almost a coin toss. Lies, spin, fear, uncertainty and doubt on both sides of the campaign made a depressing spectacle and a rational decision pretty impossible.
