9/22: This hash is not at all far from where I work and where I live, so this might be really easy? Given the weather does not look phenomenal, I might be not dry by the end, or I might be going to the ren-fair in Lebanon for the day. We shall see how things turn out once the day arrives.

9/24: The rain lets up between 1 and 3 EDT, so MapMan and I will go sometime then after we eat lunch.

Expedition

One meal of home-cooked burgers and fries later, we were ready to set out. Before we left, MapMan asked if I wanted to wear some boots because of the potential for wetness. I ignored his advice and went in sneakers. Call me crazy, but I don't mind having wet feet. (Sincerely.) It allows me to grab an achievement honorable mention too.

We drove up route 195 through town, and after some steering skills I am not too proud of to get onto the road with access, we came to the gate towards the field. The field's locale was wide and pretty; not as pretty as it could be on a sunny day, mind you, but it was still nice to witness. We honed in on the spot and took our sweet time grabbing pictures. MapMan took a stick he picked up when we parked the van, and stuck it into the ground at the approximate location of the point. I then took a poster I found on this wiki that I printed out, and attached it to my father's marker. We headed back and I grabbed one more photo of our combined marker from a distance.

The drive off of the (unpaved) road back onto the highway was a bit tense, as the tires on the van were not gaining a lot of traction with the mud underneath, but we pulled out and it was smooth sailing from then on out. This was a nice spot to hash to, and yes, it was wickedly easy. My shoes, however, probably could not say anything good about it... I'll give them 3 days to completely dry out.
