From Geohashing

One of the most cringe-worthy expeditions I've read. I can't believe you went in willingly! You neglected to mention the temperature that day was around 10C. Juventas 03:32, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

It was? I hadn't checked the temperature for White Rock, just Vancouver, which had been marginally warmer. I'd agree about it being cringe-worthy -- biking the 10km back to South Surrey with stage one hypothermia was probably my most terrifying geohashing experience so far. (I am from now on always bringing an extra pair of shoes and socks to all geohashes.) That being said, I had a great deal of fun wading in the bay for the first 200 metres or so -- the fleece pants I had on dry off very quickly. My pitfall was the boots, which didn't. The boots are waterproof and by the time I realised they weren't quite tall enough, I'd gone far enough to be too stubborn to turn around, justifying it on my kayaking experience that some water in the footwear can be good for warming the feet. - Elbie 03:55, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Yay! Awesome! Welcome to the Hashociation of Wintry Water Wading Wackos (or something)! -- relet 10:04, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
