Talk:Geotrash Geohash
From Geohashing
The image is another one of Ilpadre's detailed ones, funny and interesting but hard to see at icon scale. I'm trying to think what part of the image one could zoom in on for something I could recognize without enlarging. -Robyn 18:18, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
- That's me in the image. I'd be happy to see it done as a stick-drawing in Munroe's style -- I like those. They stretch/shrink well, too.
- Maybe one of these days I'll do stick-figures for all of them, and then Cafe-Press the badges, so folks can have "Tour Jacket"s full of them. :

- OOPS! Previous comment BEFORE seeing the stick-figure drawing. It seems that taking out the "Google Pin" and some of the clutter would work well... Ted 19:07, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
- So maybe something like this:

- That looks better. I'd flip it left-right, just because I'm from a culture where text is always read left to right, so it seems more natural for images of people doing things to face right. The artist may come up with another way of condensing the image, too. -Robyn 19:50, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for your suggestions, I was concerned about visibility at ribbon image scale myself. I uploaded a new, separate ribbon image like the one proposed by Ted. --Ilpadre 09:00, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

As on the geotrash talk page, the term 'geotrash' sounds negative. How about something like 'Green Geohash' instead, or just something that sounds better? --Woodveil 22:00, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
