Stoke D'Abernamon

Hi DavidC -- I've just noticed that your hash attempt on 2009-09-29 mentions the village of "Stoke D'Abernam". Actually, it's Stoke D'Abernon. It's a pretty little place; I used to live about two villages over from there. I changed the name in the expedition report, but I didn't want to go messing around with your user page (and also, I'm not sure how to change the name in the { {Davidc/Autumn_2009_series} } box). -- Benjw 20:11, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

Probably in how it's pronounced -- sort of "Stoke D'AB-er-n'n..." -- with zero emphasis on the last syllable. If we didn't have a written language, then your way would be just as correct, I think. -- Benjw 04:26, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
