Expedition writeups

Expeditions: Failed Expedition on the 5th. We still left a mark.

It would be superb if you could create a page telling us about your expedition. Whether it failed or not, we'd still like to hear about it. The usual convention is to call your page by the date and graticule coordinates, such as "2009-02-05 34 -112" (just click on that link to start editing).

Good luck for your future expeditions! -- Benjw 23:06, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, we're working on it. I've got one up for the Saturday, but the link is not right on the Category page.-Sean

Welcome and good luck. The whole wiki thing takes a bit of learning, but just click around to other user pages and expedition pages, then style your pages after those ones that you like. That's all we really did. --Woodveil 00:34, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

And if you stuff up like I always do, one of these whiz-kids will come along and fix it for you, just so everything looks neat. We're a useful bunch. -- UnwiseOwl 00:42, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Speaking of which: Since you guys all have your own user accounts, you might want to move your autobiographies from e.g. Bones to User:"Bones", etc. -- relet 19:16, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Ah-ha. I'm pretty sure they don't have accounts. I just linked all of us up because I know I'm going to be doing some hashing with out my boys. And I wanted a place to keep track of that without infringing on TRH. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. It started snowing so we might not make any hashes in the next few days, but we don't plan to give up the ghost. -Sean

Nevertheless, he is a user, so User:Bones is the place for him. It's SUPER EASY to move. Just go to the page, click the move tab, and enter User:Bones as the new place to be. There are definite advantages to doing it that way truuuust us. Or else Ill get helpful and move it for you. -Robyn who forgot to log in.

P.S. You should get an account. It makes it easier to wiki, not least because you don't have to type your darned name all the time. -Robyn again, still not logged in. For example you would get an e-mail so you'd know I'd written this if you had an account.

This is all true. I am fine with it as it is, if any of ya'll feel like helping us out that'll be welcomed. -Sean

I'll move the pages for you. You guys just need to create accounts. -Robyn 08:15, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Okay, moved the user pages, and linked your expeditions from the page for your graticule. See the links on the help page for help on expedition pages and so on. P.S. good to see fellow pilots. I'm waiting to see you do an airhash and then land and claim it on the surface as well, something us fixed wink folk can't do. Well unless it's at an airport. -Robyn 08:27, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Might not happen anytime soon. Mo's practice area is rather small. But we'll keep an eye out for it. -Sean

Makes it easier when you're winging across the continent all the time. But I've yet to find an airport with a hash. I would so refuel there and ask for taxi clearance through the point. "Request to taxi up Alfa past Tango then turn around and come back." -Robyn 16:38, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Good news! I officially made an account for TRH. Sean, go ahead and send me a facebook-message if you want the login info. Also, thank you, everyone, for the warm welcome and tips. -"Bones"

Activity

Are you still an active hashing group? I'm just curious, since your name caught my eye… ;D -Haberdasher 17:16, 9 April 2012 (EDT)
