Expedition

Michael started the day at his parents' home, many hours away, so it was a long drive to approach this hashpoint. Mrs. walked for a few miles through intermittent rain, and Madeleine arrived by bus from work. We convened in the back room of Gigantic Brewing, which none of us had been to before, ordered some drinks, and got some pizza. We were chatting along, when someone stood up and announced that the movie was about to begin, and then suddenly we were watching a highly campy B Movie from 1971.

Well, we rolled with it. At some point, I tore myself aware to explore the outdoor seating, but there was no way to get from there to the parking lot where the hashpoint was. We sat through the entire movie, and also some exegesis afterwards from the presenter, who was charmingly enthusiastic about B movies. Finally, we bundled up and prepared to visit the back parking lot and get the hashpoint before leaving; but, it turned out to be thoroughly gated.

It was a lousy expedition but kind of a memorable evening.
