A proof of concept geohash for the Juggernaut achievement; a lucky location insofar as my office is very close to the straight line between my home and the geohash coordinates - so I could take a much-needed break from juggernauting after covering half of the distance.

I deviated from the straight line only up to 400m (once to buy a pretzel for lunch, and once to get across the river); the straight line distance from my home to the hash was 10.7km.

There's a time-lapse video of the entire trip on YouTube which includes a little indicator for the deviation from the straight line (not automated yet, thus only tells which direction the straight line lies in, not the distance, but it should still help visualize the thing a bit).

My tracklog, together with a plot of the straight line, can be viewed on Google Maps.

dawidi earned the Juggernaut achievement (beta)
by reaching a geohash in a straight line from home (with a deviation of less than 1:26) on 2010-07-30.
