There was a roadside lay-by with a public footpath opposite. This led to the river with very nice views on the way, including Freston Tower. This is available as a holiday house. At the river, there were sheep, dog and human foot prints heading in the right direction with no signs forbidding access so it was an easy but wet stroll. Freston Park on the south bank of the river Orwell, south of Ipswich, Suffolk, UK.
