I live in Boca Raton, Florida, in the Palm Beach, Florida graticule, but the first geohash I managed to catch is in Poughkeepsie, New York, in the Danbury, Connecticut graticule. I've been to other hashpoints since, but haven't managed to actually meet other geohashers there (I just barely missed one once).

My birthplace comes within a couple of city blocks of a graticule boundary. It turns out the hashpoint for my birthdate (1963-07-04) in the graticule I was (just barely) born in comes out in the ocean just off the beach.

Dtobias earned the Speed racer achievement

by passing through the (26, -80) geohash on 2009-03-05 at the maximum legal speed.

Dtobias earned the First Sip GeoSquishy Achievement

by enjoying a slushy carbonated beverage at the (26, -80) geohash on 2009-07-11.

Dtobias earned the Speed racer achievement

by passing through the (26, -80) geohash on 2010-03-27 at the maximum legal speed.

Dtobias earned the Walk geohash Achievement

by reaching the (26, -80) geohash on 2010-05-09 on foot, travelling a distance of 5 mi (2.5 each way).
