Background
The Grand Rapids coordinates are right next to the Kalamazoo-Battle Creek International Airport. Yvh11a was very disappointed that he wasn't able to get a restricted area achievement (missed it by 350 meters!)
Expedition on Foot
The hashpoint, as near as I could determine from Google Earth, was in the center of Portage Road, directly in front of a Taco Bell. I made my way to the Taco Bell and located the approximate area of the hashpoint using the lane strips as reference markers. I crossed the road on foot a few times when the traffic was clear; no pictures, unfortunately, as I am without a camera of any sort, but as "you-can't-make-this-stuff-up" proof, I offer the fact that at or very close to the hashpoint was a discarded q-tip.
Recovery of the Q-tip
Recovery of the q-tip was considered but ultimately decided against, due to general ickiness.
Expedition by vehicle
As the hashpoint was on a major road, the expedition concluded with a Speed Racer achievement, again, without proof.
Achievements Unlocked!
yvh11a earned the Speed racer achievement

Achievements Missed!
GeoTrash GeoHash - Could have been achieved by overcoming squeamishness and retrieving the q-tip.
